Play the song. As it plays, it is being transmitted through your earphone output into your mic input. So you are transmitting the song back to your comp, just in a different format. Now go to whatever audio program you use and their should be an option to record. This will record anything your mic input is receiving. So you can now record the song back to your own computer and save it as an mp3.

Does that make sense?
