I understand idol worship...they are the image of perfect imperfection or imperfect perfection...either way, the double mixture makes it seem attainable and thusly an easy fight so people look to it...why else would the Vatican amass so many statues from various cultures...and has no one noticed before that there are no Jewish artifacts?

Anyway, I wanted to point out something I read in Catherine of Siena's "The Dialogue". That God forgives people for weaknesses, such is if they sin out of fear, addiction, coercion, etc.
